Chinese Students Eye Australia to Study

          

Students from China make up a large number of the international students in universities in Australia. Australian Universities can expect a surge of Chinese students over the next decade, a new survey has found. A Recent survey conducted by Nielson found that although only 10% of Chinese respondents are studying abroad today, this is expected to jump to 68 per cent in the next 5 to 10 years.

The survey of 1000 mainland Chinese respondents showed that of those with study abroad intentions, 73% plan to send their children abroad to study, while 20% plan to study abroad and move with their children.  This trend suggests that Australia will continue to provide world class education to the growing number of Chinese students.

The relationship between Australia and China has grown considerably over recent years, and today China is Australia's largest trading partner. Chinese students are choosing Australia over other developed countries because of familiarity with Australian brands, which are popular all over the world.
